What I really liked is the fact that Clif Builders Protein Chocolate Mint bar doesn’t have that overpowering taste of chalky protein that others do. I was also on the fence at first because I don’t really care for anything minty, but this was actually palatable!
The chocolate to mint ratio is well balanced making it a delicious treat. The texture of the bar is nice: not too chewy and has a bit of crunch. Although they've introduced new packaging they still contain 20 grams of protein to get you through your post workout.
I was really anticipating having my boyfriend try this out, since he loves all sorts of Clif bars. His first impression was that it tasted very reminiscent of an Andes Thin Mints, in that the mint flavor was well-balanced and not overpowering.
Typically, he’d never try out anything that mixed mint and chocolate, so it turned out to be a really pleasant surprise for him as well. He also let me know that he especially likes Clif’s Builders Bars because they have a good texture that’s not as unbelievably chewy as other protein bars.
In the end we both really enjoyed this bar and can’t wait to try their other flavors out such as Vanilla Almond or Chocolate. You can find these and more at clifbar.com! Thank you to Bzzagent for giving us the opportunity to find a new favorite protein bar!
