This is not my first experience with razors that had attached moisture bars, but usually those ended in disappointment since they never seemed to last, flaking away or quickly dissolving. Some barely made contact with the skin, rendering it useless and the potential for nicking the skin. However, I was proven wrong when I first tried this with no shaving cream or soap whatsoever. To use, I wetted my legs and the razor as directed to activate the moisture bars. Initially the shaver easily glided along my legs and effectively removed all of the hair, without need of shaving cream and no stubble was left behind. I definitely felt the after-effects of the shea butter as well, leaving my skin feeling nourished and with a faint, pleasant scent.
The longevity of the moisture bar started to diminish after about the 5th time using it, but since it’s a disposable razor I felt that to be decent, considering I would only purchase this type of razor for convenience or if I were traveling. There is a wasteful element to this kind of product, considering it is a “disposable”, especially if you used this as a daily razor. However, that’s not to say you couldn’t use the razor after the moisture bar dissipates, then just start using it with shaving cream, and dispose of it when the razors became dull instead.
I noticed as the moisture bar wore, the more I had razor burn, which I typically never get so I started using soap alongside the razor to avoid this problem. Overall, I find it to be an exceptional disposable razor when compared to others like it, that would be great for traveling, on-the-go since it takes out the need of shaving cream.
