BEAUTREE’s PLA Bubble Pads are a natural and earth-friendly 5-in-1 solution for cleansing, exfoliating, moisturizing, brightening, and soothing the skin. PLA stands for Polylactic Acid, which is the bioplastic the pads are made from, and it’s created from 100% renewable and non-GMO corn starch. Furthermore, it’s completely compostable, so the environmental impact is minimized through the entire life cycle of each pad.
They key superfood ingredients that combine to give the pads their cleansing benefits are blueberry, oatmeal, and moringa extracts. Blueberry is a potent antioxidant and conditioner, oatmeal soaks up oils and acts as an anti-inflammatory, while moringa leaf has significant anti-aging benefits. In addition to using only eco-friendly ingredients, they’re scent-free and BEAUTREE has also completed extensive testing to ensure there’s no risk of skin irritation.
The pads are provided dry, and only require a small amount of water to activate, so they’re really convenient to store and easily portable as well despite the somewhat large container. I really appreciate the integrated pocket in each pad, which made it easy to use both sides of the pad without wasting any product on my hands.
I had no problem working the soft side of the pad into a bubbly lather, and it definitely cleaned up my face and neck very well. I love the exfoliating side as well, as it’s easy to vary the effect by changing the pressure applied and it seems to work great for targeting the neck and decolletage areas.
Overall, it left my skin feeling softer, gently exfoliated, clean, not dried stripped of oils. If necessary, I also think it’d be no problem to rinse them off and add some of your own cleanser if you need a bit more to finish up during your skincare routine.
However, I did find that it’s not sufficient on its own when cleansing from a full face of makeup; you’ll almost certainly want to double-cleanse and bring the pad in after makeup removal.
All that said, BEAUTREE Cleansing Pads are very safe and effective, and the exfoliation is light enough that you could use them on a daily basis. I highly recommend them if you’re on the lookout for natural and environmentally conscious cleansers!
