SNP Overnight Hair Mask / Nourishes & Renews (Otter)

Level up your masking routine with SNP (Shining Nature Purity) Overnight Hair Mask, that nourishes and renews your hair with fortifying ingredients like seaweed extracts, provitamins, and ocean minerals. It contains zero Parabens, Silicone, Mineral Oil, gluten, Sulfates, Synthetic Dyes, Petrolatum, or Phthalates, and even works well with natural, color treated or heat styled hair. The SNP Overnight Hair Mask is a sleeping hair pack that comes with just two simple steps.

The first step concerns the bottom portion of the package clearly labeled Step 1, which contains time-release thick and creamy conditioner that helps to reduce frizz, boost hairs natural shine, and keep hair detangled. Before applying this dense conditioner, be sure that your hair is completely dry and concentrate dispersing the product on your ends, leaving the remainder for your mid length then lastly to roots.

I found it easy to squeeze out the treatment a little at a time into my palms and working from my ends to roots, since that’s the main area to be most saturated in product. I’ve seen it done the other way around, but since my scalp and root area is already oily enough, I don’t find it necessary to have much conditioner placed there. As far as the scent, I can’t pinpoint exactly what it is, but it does smell amazing!

I have over 23” of hair, and I thought the 1.05 oz of conditioner was more than enough to saturate my hair and it spread nicely so it was easy to distribute. After thoroughly applying that, you can move on to Step 2, a packet that contains a Sleeping Cap adorned with an adorable otter perching over a moon.

The blue nurse-like bouffant cap isn’t flimsy like the ones I’ve seen in dollar stores and be reused a couple times more if wanted. In fact, you could use the same idea and apply any other deep conditioner hair mask and wrap it up in this cute cap, even if it’s only for an hour or so. The elastic band is tight enough to stay on your head, but still manages to sit comfortably without pulling or pinching the scalp.

After adding the conditioner
Now it’s time to finish whatever you have going on for the night, which for me is removing my makeup and even maybe a facial mask before I go to sleep. I was a little concerned how I could actually sleep with this on, since I can be a bit picky.

However, it turned out not to be a bother and stayed on all night, even throughout my usual tossing and turning around in my sleep.

I woke up and removed the cap and my hair felt saturated with product but a little bit drier as when I applied the product the night before. Another surprise was that the cap kept my pillowcase completely clean. The last step in this hair masking process is to rinse well and shampoo if necessary, and I made sure to do so for my oily, problematic, straight hair. I mainly focused the shampoo on my root area to clean up any extra-heavy product and made sure my ends were clean.

I was eager to see if this really could be a great hair treatment in-between salon visits that my hair so desperately needs and I am happy to announce that it did an amazing job! I could tell just by the fact that I could brush it after towel drying, since normally the struggle is real with my stubborn straight hair.

After a combo of air drying and a little bit of blow drying, I noticed my hair felt revitalized, hydrated and had less frizzies flying about. There was also a healthier sheen and soft texture, which I credit to the rich nourishment of the SNP Overnight Hair Mask. I can’t wait to get my hands on the panda hair mask, which although stated on 0.8L to be available at Walmart, I couldn’t find online so maybe it’s only found in-store. I recommend that everyone give this unique hair masking a go and reap the benefits for themselves!

Neutrogena NEW Hydrogel Mask Collection

#Sundayfunday means time to relax and enjoy the mindful activity of masking! I’m delighted to have worked with Neutrogena to bring you this post and discover the benefits of their NEW gel mask collection. I was able to use 3 out of the 5 masks in their new collection, so let’s dive in!

Neutrogena Radiance Boost Brightening 100% Hydrogel Mask
Neutrogena Deep Clean Purifying 100% Hydrogel Mask
Neutrogena Deep Clean Purifying Wash-Off Clay Mask

Neutrogena Radiance Boost Brightening 100% Hydrogel Mask

Neutrogena’s Radiance Boost Brightening 100% Hydrogel Mask is made with an exclusive gel-like material that can hold up to 50 percent more substance when compared to paper masks. Combining vitamin B3 with other powerful skin nutrients, this mask is drenched in goodness that will boost skin radiance, brighten skin and smooth skin texture!

The mask comes in two pieces to help fit your unique face so you can position it the best that feels comfortable. For best results, anytime that you are masking be sure to prep your face by cleaning and toning the skin. It creates a good foundation for your skin to absorb all the nutrients of the mask. Out of the packaging it is heavily saturated in serum with a subtle floral scent, and the soft gel mask instantly felt cooling once I applied the two sections. It’s recommend that you give it 15-30 minutes to allow complete absorption of its beneficial properties.

I went for the whole 30 minutes, because I feel my skin could really use it. After time was up, I easily pulled off the mask and applied the remainder of the product from the packet onto my face and neck to soak up the extra bonuses. The only downside with the split mask was having to re-position the bottom half since it kept slipping as I was trying to accomplish tasks while I had it on. I could see not having an issue if I were to lay back and relax while masking, but that wasn’t the case.

As for the results, my skin can often look dull and lackluster, but after trying the Radiance Boost Brightening Hydrogel Mask my skin was feeling supple, soft and soothed. I absolutely loved the outcome and would definitely purchase it again since it’s readily available at my local grocery store.

Neutrogena Deep Clean Purifying 100% Hydrogel Mask

The next mask I was able to indulge my skin with was the Deep Clean Purifying Hydrogel Mask. Just like the other one, it is made with a unique gel material that holds 50% more essence than traditional paper masks. The mask contains an astounding fill weight of 20ml, meaning it’s extremely dense with hydrating serum.

This one, like the last, comes in two separate pieces, one for the top portion of your face and the second for the bottom half. Since I already knew that the bottom portion liked to slip while doing tasks, I made a conscious effort to sit back in bed and allow it to do it’s magic while I relaxed.

That mask had a light, clean scent to it and the overabundance of serum made my skin feel calm and hydrated. It’s infused with seaweed extract to leave your skin purified and luminous. It’s also suggested that you use this with their Deep Clean Purifying Cleanser to revitalize your skin. Just like the name suggests, it provided a deep clean that left my face feeling squeaky clean, refreshed and soothed.

Neutrogena Deep Clean Purifying Wash-Off Clay Mask

Get the same deep clean that you do with Neutrogena’s Hydrogel Mask with Deep Clean Purifying Clay Mask, a different way to get the same purifying action with some added benefits. The twist with this mask is that it’s a thick, nutrient enriched clay, which also contains kaolin and bentonite that keeps your skin soft and healthy without irritation.

To prepare for this mask, I used a cleanser and toner, and made sure my face was completely dry. Then according to the directions, I applied a nice even layer using a brush to my entire face, avoiding the eyes and lips. The 10ml container may seem small, but there was more than enough product to get great coverage. I waited the full recommended 15 minutes and washed away the clay mask.

It left my skin even more flushed of impurities and my reduced the appearance of my problematic, ever-present pores. The mask also did a great job removing dead skin and overall my face felt soothed and refreshed. It was a fun way to get a deep clean, without clogging my pores or drying out my skin, and I’d highly recommend it for those who have oily skin like mine.

What’s great is that right on Neutrogena’s site you can schedule repeat deliveries and save money! Right now, they have an offer to Buy 6, and get 1 free(offer subject to change)

Ocean's Halo Ramen & Miso Broth

Ocean’s Halo Ramen Broth is a Japanese flavor inspired broth that contains sustainably ocean-farmed kelp, in addition to being USDA organic and Non-GMO. We’ve all had the classic instant ramen, so I want to make clear that this broth is not even in the same realm. This product provides a much more authentic Japanese ramen experience and can even be used to make other dishes.

We made it into a noodle bowl dish, using Simply Asia Japanese Style ramen noodles with fresh carrots and the added protein of chicken. However, you can be creative and add whatever you want to your dish; on the back of the box they even suggest traditional ingredients like seaweed sheets, bamboo shoots, boiled egg, roasted pork, sliced scallions and roasted vegetables.

I personally don’t eat a lot of Japanese style foods, however I occasionally have sushi, so the seafood taste from the kelp was delicious to me. On the other hand, my boyfriend really dislikes anything with a seafood taste. The flavor was rich, and it had a thick, creamy texture, making it a hearty meal for dinner. The only downside was the amount of sodium in the broth that I found a bit overwhelming, perhaps because we don’t eat a lot of salty foods.

I was feeling adventurous, so along with trying the Ramen Broth I picked up Ocean’s Halo Miso Broth. I was expecting good things since the Ramen Broth was delicious, so we made this for lunch. For this dish, we picked up Thai Kitchen Stir-Fry Rice Noodles to try something different and mixed in cooked chicken, carrots and spinach. This broth was thinner in consistency and had a little too much salt, however it was delicious and tasted like subdued Ramen Broth, with a lighter taste. This was not my favorite out of the two, but I wouldn’t mind having it again.

Overall, the Ramen Broth was a delicious broth that I will be stocking up on next time, since it was hard to find the first time around at Walmart. However, that’s only because it was brand new, and will definitely become a household staple that will fit into the rotation of our dinner plans. Plus Ocean's Halo donates 2% of their profits to the Monterey Bay Aquarium's Children's Education Fund to inspire ocean conservation.
