Dermadeli Invigorating Vitamin C Serum

Superfoods aren’t just good for your body, they’re great for your skin, too! I am happy to share my full experience with Dermadeli’s Invigorating Vitamin C Serum after a little over a month of use. Dermadeli kindly gifted me this excellent product that’s packed with natural antioxidants to repair damage and reverse the effects of aging.

A potent 20% concentration of ingredients like Pomegranate Seed Oil, Orange and Lemon Juice Extracts can help reduce sun damage, boost elasticity, and help improve wrinkles! I thought this would be the perfect addition to my summer skincare routine and counteract all of the extra sun exposure. Per the recommended 3-4x weekly usage, I began by implementing this serum into my routine every other day and was looking forward to the results, especially how much it can reduce my fine lines, such as the ones on my forehead and smile lines.

It’s best kept refrigerated, not only for the incredible cooling sensation but for extending the shelf life and boosting the antioxidant power as well. Right out of my mini-fridge, I always give the bottle a couple of shakes to properly mix it, then apply it after cleansing and toning. I really enjoy the glass bottle and hygienic dropper to control the exact amount according to what I need.

The pale yellow, watery-textured formula soaks right in as soon as it’s dispensed and smells tasty with a soft citrusy scent. While I can feel a little bit of tackiness right after, it vanishes as I move forward with the rest of my routine. Right away, I loved the lightweight feel, smoother, tighter skin and luminous glow it gives me, plus I’ve had no irritation or reactions and actually have had a reduction in redness! After just a few days, I was already thrilled with the results and couldn’t wait to see what more it had in store.

I find myself reaching for this serum at least every other day, and sometimes even more frequently if I feel my skin needs it. The texture of this serum has a very light, watery feel and my skin just drinks it up straight away. As I mentioned last time, it has just the tiniest bit tackiness, but that vanishes once you move on with the rest of your skincare routine.

Now, after a whole month of use, I’ve seen an improvement on the little sun spots around my face, now brighter and not as noticeable. Another small improvement has been smaller indentation of my smile lines, and most importantly the horrendous forehead line is less prominent. Plus, I’m happy to see a reduction in pore size as my skin is tauter and feels overall more firm. In skincare terms, a month isn’t really that long, but I’m already seeing great results! I have very fair skin and I burn easily, so to protect myself I apply SPF everyday. In fact, you should always apply sunscreen no matter the rain, sun, or snow, since any incidental sun exposure causes premature aging, pigmentation and other things we want to avoid.

I was happy to introduce StriVectin Full Screen SPF 30 100% Mineral Vanishing Tint to my routine whether it was a full makeup day, or with nothing else at all. Not is the formula a daily defense against UVA/UVB, blue light and pollution, but furthermore it provides nourishing Vitamins A, B, C and Pro-Vitamin D to keep your skin healthy. More ingredients included are Argan Oil and Licorice Root Extract to brighten and hydrate your skin.

Immediately out of the tube the formula looks a bit like cappuccino color, but just like the name implies, it vanishes by blending easily into the skin with no pesky white cast. The texture dries matte and made for a great base to continue on with my makeup routine. It’s not scent free, but has a slightly spicy, sweet and earthy scent which I think must be from the Licorice Root, Althaea and Argan Oil, all of which are undetectable after applied to the face.

As far as price point goes, I think at $39.00 it’s highly reasonable, considering my other favorite face SPF brand is Coola. When comparing it to Coola’s Mineral Face Organic Matte Tint SPF 30, the price is only about $5 per ounce more. However, I think the higher quality ingredients are worth the extra five bucks.

Just like with any sunscreen, it is recommended to reapply about every two hours and immediately if you’re excessively sweating or after swimming. Remember if you only do one thing for your skin, always apply a SPF even if you’re not going to be outside for long periods of time, and StriVectin Full Screen SPF 30 100% Mineral Vanishing Tint is a great product to fulfill that crucial part of your routine.

StriVectin Full Screen SPF 30 100% Mineral Vanishing Tint

Elizabeth Mott / Show Me Your Cheeks Powder Blush

Recently I have been using the Elizabeth Mott Show Me Your Cheeks Powder Blush in the shade Bright Coral, and I've given it a full week to completely try it out. I initially selected the shade Bright Coral over the other two (Soft Pink and Peach Pink) because I love coral colors in general and I was impressed with the swatch pictures I saw.

I definitely like the simplistic design and mirror compact it's packaged in because I like to carry the blush that I am using in my purse when I leave the house for any touch ups. You get 5 grams of product for around $23 dollars, which is not that unreasonable when you consider that name brand blushes like Benefit Cosmetics Galifornia Blush costs around $29 for 5 grams.

The formula is smooth and blendable, but also exhibits a good amount of glitter and sheen once applied to the skin. I would not consider this blush color to be bold as described on their website, since it takes a good amount of buildup to get a good flush color on your cheeks.

The buildup is easy though, and it’s easier to buildup to a color than subtract, so I like the fact that this allows to create a more natural look if you like by using a bit less. I can’t attest to the other shades, but this one definitely seems to pack the most color pay off and pigmentation. I love the hue, light shimmer, and it compliments any summer look.

As for the longevity of the product I would say it held up okay. I think I only had to touch it up a couple times, but that was due to it being above 90F outside and I was blotting my skin like mad to keep away the sweat and oils. The suggestion I have is to maybe modify it for less shimmer and more pigmentation. All that said, it's a good sheer and shimmery blush that allows for a more natural look while being made cruelty free.

Lightlife Smart Dogs (Meatless Veggie Hot Dogs)

Hello Cuppies!

It's been a while since I have posted, but you know how it goes enjoying the great outdoors and the beautiful sunny weather. It couldn't be more perfect timing to try Lightlife Smart Dogs Meatless Veggie Hot Dogs for summer grilling. 

I would have never thought in a million years that I would fall in love with veggie hot dogs. I was very skeptical about trying them at first, but I like veggie burgers, so I thought "why not?" In fact they are very flavorful and not what I imagined they would taste like. I am already not a big meat eater, so I am glad to find a tasty hot dog alternative that provides a good amount of protein. To counter my opinion, my boyfriend who loves meat thought these were just okay.

However, I disagree and think they taste just as great and have the same texture as a meaty hot dog. We have been grilling these up for summer dinners, but I think any way you prepare they will be just as tasty. Overall, I personally loved them and will be purchasing more. Even if you are a bit skeptical, it’s worth a try because they just might surprise you.

I was fortunate enough to try Seventh Generation Free & Clear laundry detergent for free in 3 small fun packages for my honest review.

I love that Seventh Generation stands behind it's products that are made better not only for us as consumers, but for the environment overall. The Free & Clear detergent is all natural that contains no dyes, optical brighteners or synthetic fragrances. It's not only great for people with sensitivities, but for anyone really. All the ingredients are listed on the bottle (even the sample pack) as to inform the consumers what's in their detergent is safe. #comeclean

The ingredients are plant-based and USDA Certified 97%. To be honest I was a little skeptical about being all plant-based and being able to clean sufficiently, but I was pleasantly surprised after using the samples through different loads (types) of laundry. I decided to try the samples on colors, darks and whites to see if I would notice a difference in any load.

The sample size was just the right amount for a medium/large load of laundry. There is no scent to the product and the liquid detergent is clear in color. It's made for HE washer like ours, but will work just as well for regular washers.

I am impressed with the results from all 3 loads of laundry. There was a fresh neutral scent (not perfume) before loading into the dryer and I'm happy to say all my clothes came out clean and soft.  It's definitely a brand I will be switching over with trusted natural ingredients, a honest company and to help out the environment in the long run.
