Land O Lakes Butter Spread with Seeds

What goes better together than bread and butter? This Land O Lakes Butter Spread with Seeds I received complimentary thanks to Influenster is the perfect combo with a tasty loaf of fresh bakery bread. In fact, it’s so good that it won the Best Butter/Dairy Spread Category in the 2021 World DAIRY Innovation Awards!

Those extra Flax, Chia and Hemp seeds not only provide just the right amount of texture that I love, they also confer some added health benefits like vitamins, minerals, fiber, and protein, just to name a few.

Even straight from the refrigerator, this butter is creamy, smooth, and easy to spread. I like the texture of seeds in all sorts of foods, and this is no exception; they add a little something extra without feeling gritty or taking away from the delicious taste of the butter.

We’ve also used it in combination with a variety of different breads, whether it’s plain sliced wheat, italian, or french bread, plain and toasted, and it’s a great complement to them all. If you’re interested in changing up your favorite spread, or just want to try a new snack, I highly recommend giving it a try!

Nasoya Toss’ables Balsamic Vinaigrette

This chance to try out the brand-new Nasoya Toss'ables came at just the right time, since I'm changing my diet and have been on the lookout for healthy grab-and-go lunch alternatives. Toss’ables are pre-seasoned and baked tofu cubes that can be added straight to any dish you want as a meat replacement, from salad to pasta and more.

Keep in mind that they’re also vegan, gluten-free, certified organic, have no preservatives or cholesterol, and are still packed with 14 grams of protein per serving. There are two varieties available right now, Balsamic Vinaigrette or Garlic and Herb, but I was only able to find the vinaigrette in stock at my local grocery store.

The first dish I tried out with Toss’ables was a quick salad, by mixing them in with some organic power greens: kale, spinach, and chard. I found that the seasoning was spot on and very flavorful, especially if you already like the taste of Balsamic vinegar. I felt that other than adding baby tomatoes and possibly carrot shavings, the salad needed no dressing since the cubes were already so powerfully flavored. I’d say the cubes are just the right size, and yes it tastes like all other tofu and has the usual spongey texture.

Next, I decided to add the Toss’ables to some home-made ramen with a Ocean’s Halo seaweed-based broth. Since I typically throw chicken into the mix, I decided to give the Balsamic cubes a go in the broth. I thought it was a nice touch, but as far as flavoring goes it didn’t work well and I thought the Garlic & Herb would have fared better.

In the end, I really think that the Balsamic Vinaigrette flavor just wasn’t for me, and I’d have a better experience if I were able to try out the Garlic and Herb style. Tofu is an undeniably healthy source of protein, and I love that Nasoya offers it organic and preservative-free, so I can’t wait to try the second flavor and incorporate it in some new dishes.

Seventh Generation Free & Clear Laundry Detergent

Happy Holiday's cuppies!!

I was fortunate enough to try Seventh Generation Free & Clear laundry detergent for free in 3 small fun packages for my honest review.

I love that Seventh Generation stands behind it's products that are made better not only for us as consumers, but for the environment overall. The Free & Clear detergent is all natural that contains no dyes, optical brighteners or synthetic fragrances. It's not only great for people with sensitivities, but for anyone really. All the ingredients are listed on the bottle (even the sample pack) as to inform the consumers what's in their detergent is safe. #comeclean

The ingredients are plant-based and USDA Certified 97%. To be honest I was a little skeptical about being all plant-based and being able to clean sufficiently, but I was pleasantly surprised after using the samples through different loads (types) of laundry. I decided to try the samples on colors, darks and whites to see if I would notice a difference in any load.

The sample size was just the right amount for a medium/large load of laundry. There is no scent to the product and the liquid detergent is clear in color. It's made for HE washer like ours, but will work just as well for regular washers.

I am impressed with the results from all 3 loads of laundry. There was a fresh neutral scent (not perfume) before loading into the dryer and I'm happy to say all my clothes came out clean and soft.  It's definitely a brand I will be switching over with trusted natural ingredients, a honest company and to help out the environment in the long run.
