Noosa Yoghurt Cups

It’s surprising to me, since I am a longtime fan of Noosa Mates (Coconut Almond Chocolate is the best!), that this is the first time trying their classic pureed yogurt. I was really hoping my Meijer would have carried the salted caramel or pumpkin varieties, but I picked up several of the classic flavors, including lemon, blueberry, raspberry and strawberry rhubarb.

I even picked up more Noosa Mates and a Noosa Pair in the flavor caramel & apple! Knowing each delicious cup is made with whole milk, real fruit and is completely GMO free, I was sure that they would all be delicious. What’s unique about Noosa is that it’s made in small batches, that way each cup is just as extraordinarily flavorful as the next.

The individual classic Noosa cups are quite large and make a for a very filling snack or a morning breakfast. The consistency is thick, creamy and absolutely delicious with a great combination of sweet and tart mixed fruit puree. I love that this isn’t a sharp tart taste and rather prefer mine on the sweeter side when it comes to picking yogurts.

The classics contain just the right portion of puree compared to yogurt. In each cup (excluding lemon), there are real pieces of fruit like the blueberries to give it a little texture and extra zing.

Now let’s talk about nutrition; Noosa contains naturally occurring sugar from whole milk, however with the added sugar that leads to a range between 30-35 grams of sugar in each cup. That’s already exceeding the daily limit sugar intake for women according to the American Heart Association.

Another downside is the plastic waste even though the actual containers are recyclable (#5), it is a real noosance (see what I did there, ha!)  since your center may not accept that type. Although the foil lids are fun with their witty little sayings, they are just as wasteful and I would love to see them implement a different, environmentally conscious packaging that is still just as fun.

However, if you are into upcycling, these containers make great storage for small knick-knacks or office supplies. Check out these great ideas on how you can upcycle your containers from Life Aspire.

Overall, I am still a Noosa fan and eat this in moderation, as with any high sugar intake product, or have them every once in a while as a treat. I am also thankful I was able to venture outside of the Noosa Mates to try the Classics and will certainly add them to shopping cart next time.

Sundown Naturals Probiotic Gummies

Hello Cuppies,

In today’s world, it’s hard not to consume packaged goods or fast food, that are either tasty or convenient, and skip a healthier option. In doing so, our digestive system can’t properly break down all the overly processed carbs and help our body function the way it’s supposed to. I’ve always had digestive issues and am happy to try natural probiotics that can help.

Sundown Naturals Probiotic Gummies are a natural way of supporting healthy digestion. They contain absolutely no dairy/lactose, wheat, yeast, fish, gluten, artificial colors, flavors, preservatives or sweeteners, and are non-GMO.

The flavors consist of pineapple, raspberry and orange, and are tasty but not too sweet. I also find that the gummies don’t stick to your teeth and are easy to chew. These gummies contain 4 billion live cultures that help replace bad bacteria with good. I find it easier to remember to take 2 of these little gummies daily than it is to eat yogurt.

Over the past several weeks of taking the gummies, I have noticed a slight change in my digestion. I think with continual use it will help with my irregularities in going to the bathroom. These are great if you have a hard time swallowing capsules, but they do contain less live cultures in exchange for easy ingestion. Overall, the Sundown probiotic gummies are tasty, natural and with their help my body has definitely adjusted and started to feel better. I will definitely keep using Sundown Naturals Probiotic gummies from here on out!
