Ahoy, Me Hearties! Let your mates set sail with this month's theme BarkBeard's Treasure: A Pirates Tail. It's already May and I'm just now getting to unboxing my April BarkBox, but better late than never! Since my box arrives in the middle to later part of the month, it can be a struggle, but I've battened down the hatches to get this post out as soon as possible.
My pups are ready to take to the seven seas with all the booty in this BarkBox. The moment that I opened the box, both of them plundered it for all sorts of new treats and treasures. I absolutely appreciate the detailed, innovative toy and treat designs. Once outdoors, we unpacked the box broadside and enjoyed our time discovering the treasure. Rylee immediately took to the "Anchor's Away" anchor toy and Miah the "Greedy Gilly" small fish toy. Of course these silly dogs like the opposite of their sizes in toys! Over time though, both of them played with each, and now my little Rylee is in love with the squeaky fish ball.
I fell in love with the pirate bandanna, which fit Rylee exactly and perfectly paired with the pirate themed toys. Now both of my salty sea dogs look like they're going on the account with a real pirate gang!

I love reading the dog treat bags while my dogs enjoy the contents inside! What I like most is that the treats are made in the USA and grain free, which is perfect for Miah's allergies.
Overall, they both went crazy over their new toys and treats. I had chosen the chewer box for more durable toys, and always have to monitor when they do chew, since they love to rip them open within a matter of minutes. However, it's taken several sessions for them to destroy the toys I get from BarkBox. Down the road I may invest in the Heavy Chewer package, but for right now this is working out great. Plus, I can always contact BarkBox about an item that didn't work out and they will replace it, free of charge! I can't wait to see what's in store for next month!
