Almay Healthy Glow + Self Tan

Hello Cuppies!

For the past couple of weeks I have been using only Almay Healthy Glow + Self Tan foundation (Light 100) to give it a good go. I am very surprised by this foundation, considering that it has a self-tanning element that I normally wouldn't use. The bit of glow is appealing since I avoid tanning to keep my skin healthy.

I will say after using the foundation for more than seven consecutive days, I noticed a slight change in the hue of my skin. Without makeup, my skin is left looking more flush and reduces the appearance of red spots.

The pump with the two dispensers I found to be pretty self-explanatory although they do provide instructions on the back of the bottle. It was easy to use after giving several pumps to move the product up and out. I haven't had any issues with one not dispensing. I personally like to rub the product together on my fingertips, but I have mixed right on my face and it works just as effective.

As part of the mission I was suppose to create a collage from PicMonkey.com to show the progression of the foundation and it's subtle tan. Although my pictures taken in my bathroom already have a warm hue you can notice the difference.

(1. No makeup before use of  Healthy Glow  2. After 7 days while using the foundation 3. No makeup after using Healthy glow for more than 7 days)

The best part of this foundation is the coverage you get without any streaking or cakey-ness. A little bit of the foundation goes a long way. I think this foundation could stand out on its own, so it is a little bonus with the self-tanner included. A big thanks to Crowdtap for being able to try this out for my honest review.

Secret Clinical Strength Deodorant Smooth Solid

Salut Cuppies,

It's no secret that Secret Clinical Strength works for me! I have been using Secret deodorant for years now and I am very happy with the Clinical Strength line. This offers the maximum protection I need throughout my day while working hard. I personally stick with the clinical line every time I will be working six plus hours because I know it works without having to touch up with deodorant.

I love the simple design of the packaging and that it’s recyclable. The actual deodorant tube is small and is convenient to keep in your purse or bag for those just in case moments. The smell is exactly as described light and fresh and reminds me of cleanliness. Definitely a discreet scent that doesn’t overpower so you can wear whatever perfume or fragrance without too much on you.

The deodorant is easy to dispense just enough for each underarm and goes on evenly. I haven’t had any issues with streaking or leaving white residue on my black or colored shirts. With the soft solid it provides a soothing effect that helps eliminate any irritation. Being an early child teacher I am often on my feet every second getting little to no break so the fact that this adapts to my level of stress throughout the day keeps me feeling fresh.

Overall for those who sweat a lot I would definitely recommend since it has double the power of a regular deodorant. If you also suffer from a lot of irritation in your underarm the smooth solid is the way to go.

Silk Vanilla Almondmilk #tasteslikebetter

Hello Cuppy Cakes!

Thanks to Crowdtap I am able to review Silk Almondmilk in the flavor vanilla for free for review. So lets get started!

I often pass by Silk when I am grocery shopping having no particular interest up until now. It is not the first time trying almond milk, but the last time was approximately ages ago and vaguely remember liking it.

I decided on the flavor vanilla because it's one of my top flavors and I had high hopes it would be a good pairing with an almond taste. I will say it's not what I remember or expected this almondmilk to taste like. To be honest I was kind of turned off with the flavor and smell. The smell of the milk is intense and the taste is very sweet and almost too nutty. I love almonds, but this packs a punch of almond flavor into your taste buds.

However, I decided since I have a whole half gallon that I don't want to go to waste I would try it in different ways. First I made chocolate milk with a powdered chocolate mixture and it was okay, but definitely not to my liking. My boyfriend on the other hand didn't mind the milk on it's own or in chocolate milk.

Next I tried it in my coffee as a creamer and found that this was the best use for me. It gives my coffee a little extra nutty flavor that is exactly what I love about creamers.

I also made cereal and just tried it in Cocoa Pebbles (one of my favs) and that was a no-go.

I lastly have made it into smoothies and found that this was a great way to add almond flavor and healthy substitute to milk. I will say after about week and half of drinking/eating this I am getting used to the taste and it doesn't seem so foreign.

I do find that there are so much added bonus to drinking this rather than normal cow milk because there is no cholesterol, saturated fat, artificial colors or flavors added making it a healthier option. I am still curious if the Original flavor tastes any better so I might be stopping by my local grocery store to try it out.

Overall my opinion changed from yuck to yum over the course of trying it out and getting used to the taste. It's not my initial expectation of the product, but I am willing to try out other products to find the right fit or in this case the right taste.
