SNP Overnight Hair Mask / Nourishes & Renews (Otter)

Level up your masking routine with SNP (Shining Nature Purity) Overnight Hair Mask, that nourishes and renews your hair with fortifying ingredients like seaweed extracts, provitamins, and ocean minerals. It contains zero Parabens, Silicone, Mineral Oil, gluten, Sulfates, Synthetic Dyes, Petrolatum, or Phthalates, and even works well with natural, color treated or heat styled hair. The SNP Overnight Hair Mask is a sleeping hair pack that comes with just two simple steps.

The first step concerns the bottom portion of the package clearly labeled Step 1, which contains time-release thick and creamy conditioner that helps to reduce frizz, boost hairs natural shine, and keep hair detangled. Before applying this dense conditioner, be sure that your hair is completely dry and concentrate dispersing the product on your ends, leaving the remainder for your mid length then lastly to roots.

I found it easy to squeeze out the treatment a little at a time into my palms and working from my ends to roots, since that’s the main area to be most saturated in product. I’ve seen it done the other way around, but since my scalp and root area is already oily enough, I don’t find it necessary to have much conditioner placed there. As far as the scent, I can’t pinpoint exactly what it is, but it does smell amazing!

I have over 23” of hair, and I thought the 1.05 oz of conditioner was more than enough to saturate my hair and it spread nicely so it was easy to distribute. After thoroughly applying that, you can move on to Step 2, a packet that contains a Sleeping Cap adorned with an adorable otter perching over a moon.

The blue nurse-like bouffant cap isn’t flimsy like the ones I’ve seen in dollar stores and be reused a couple times more if wanted. In fact, you could use the same idea and apply any other deep conditioner hair mask and wrap it up in this cute cap, even if it’s only for an hour or so. The elastic band is tight enough to stay on your head, but still manages to sit comfortably without pulling or pinching the scalp.

After adding the conditioner
Now it’s time to finish whatever you have going on for the night, which for me is removing my makeup and even maybe a facial mask before I go to sleep. I was a little concerned how I could actually sleep with this on, since I can be a bit picky.

However, it turned out not to be a bother and stayed on all night, even throughout my usual tossing and turning around in my sleep.

I woke up and removed the cap and my hair felt saturated with product but a little bit drier as when I applied the product the night before. Another surprise was that the cap kept my pillowcase completely clean. The last step in this hair masking process is to rinse well and shampoo if necessary, and I made sure to do so for my oily, problematic, straight hair. I mainly focused the shampoo on my root area to clean up any extra-heavy product and made sure my ends were clean.

I was eager to see if this really could be a great hair treatment in-between salon visits that my hair so desperately needs and I am happy to announce that it did an amazing job! I could tell just by the fact that I could brush it after towel drying, since normally the struggle is real with my stubborn straight hair.

After a combo of air drying and a little bit of blow drying, I noticed my hair felt revitalized, hydrated and had less frizzies flying about. There was also a healthier sheen and soft texture, which I credit to the rich nourishment of the SNP Overnight Hair Mask. I can’t wait to get my hands on the panda hair mask, which although stated on 0.8L to be available at Walmart, I couldn’t find online so maybe it’s only found in-store. I recommend that everyone give this unique hair masking a go and reap the benefits for themselves!

Beauty Kitchen / Basic Witch Pumpkin Spice Sugar Scrub

Keep Pumpkin Spice season alive with Beauty Kitchen Basic Witch Pumpkin Spice Sugar Scrub! This all natural, organic body scrub a perfect way to extend the love of fall. The scrub smells exactly like a Pumpkin Spice Latte without using any artificial scents.

This scrub offers many benefits like increased cell turnover rate, brightening, to smoothing one’s skin thanks to pumpkin’s fruit enzymes and alpha hydroxy acids. Other pumpkin perks include powerful antioxidants like Vitamin A & C that leave your skin softer and work to boost collagen production that fight signs of aging. The organic fine sugar works as an excellent exfoliant and is a perfect alternative to harmful microbeads.

I love loose scrubs like this since you can build up the amount you need with the scoop of your fingers, which makes it easy to target areas that need that little bit of extra love. It’s recommended that you apply and scrub in an upward circular motion. Of course, be sure your skin is wet before apply to help the loose scrub stick as to not be wasted.

Once washed away, your skin feels amazingly soft and the delectable aroma transfers from jar to skin and leaves a faint reminisce of the ever so loved PSL. What’s amazing is that this scrub is even safe to use on your face and works just as well as on the rest of your body.

Furthermore, I love how quickly the scrub improved my skin’s texture, leaving it supple with a renewed glow. If you haven’t yet checked out Beauty Kitchen by Heather Marianna, you’re missing out on some amazing skincare products that are safe, reliable and effective!

Aveeno Positively Radiant Maxglow Serum + Primer

It’s so important to prep your skin in the morning, whether you are going out with a full face of makeup or nothing at all. Aveeno Positively Radiant Maxglow Serum + Primer creates the perfect canvas with it’s hydrating formula that dissipates quickly leaving skin feeling soft, soothed and prepped.

This duo contains nutrient enriched ingredients like Soy that evens skin’s tone and texture, Macadamia Seed Oil that’s rich in fatty acids and helps to regenerate and soften the skin, and Kiwi Complex that boosts moisture retention keeping your skin completely hydrated. Furthermore, it is paraben-free, phthalate-free, hypoallergenic, gentle on one’s skin and won’t clog pores.

It works as the perfect base to begin applying your makeup, or the last step in your skincare regimen.

To begin, shake the container to activate and apply to your skin, either with clean fingers or a cotton round, and dab lightly until it’s completely absorbed. There is a light sweet scent, I’m guessing from the kiwi, and for non-sensitive sniffers it’s not bothersome at all.

My only complaint about the bottle design is that it has some sort of cap issue. I love the nozzle and how you can easily release a little product at a time, but the cap doesn’t seal to prevent liquid filling up the void and leaking out.

I was a bit apprehensive how this might work with my oily skin, considering the claims to “create a glowing canvas” would mean that you’d see my face radiate with oiliness from miles away. However, the water-light formula quickly absorbed and left my skin with a soft, natural glow and more matte than I expected.

It made the application of my foundation smooth and even. The real test was to see the results after applying makeup and how it held throughout the day. After a few hours of my day, I noticed no significant increase of oiliness, thankfully. Another point that I love is how comfortable and hydrated my skin felt even after being exposed to the harsh winter wind. I’d highly recommend Aveeno Positively Radient Maxglow Serum + Primer to help cut your morning prep time in half!

Beauty Kitchen Marionberry Martini Face Mask & Rosewater Spray

No matter what age your skin is, everyone can benefit from Beauty Kitchen’s 100% natural skincare. It has been a delight being able to try not just one, but two of their products. The first being Beauty Kitchen’s Rosewater Spray. It’s simple, as the spray’s only ingredient is rosewater itself and helps to reduce redness, irritation and inflammation. Furthermore, it can balance out PH levels, tone skin, minimize pores and even cool skin that has been sunburned.

There are many uses for this spray: It’s good to keep on hand to freshen your skin throughout the day with its cooling properties, or you can use it with clay masks instead of water. It smells of soft rose petals and feels instantly relieving to the skin. I like to carry this around and spritz my face and neck when my skin feels tired and dry. I also like that it doesn’t affect a full face of makeup and feels wonderful.

The next amazing product from Beauty Kitchen is their versatile Marionberry Martini Face Mask. It’s a purple jelly formula that is mainly made of marionberry, a hybrid of blackberries that is enriched with antioxidants, vitamins and minerals. More amazing ingredients include organic aloe leaf juice, holy basil leaf extract, turmeric root extract, and eggplant fruit extract.

Speaking of versatility, this aloe gel can be used as a moisturizer for face, body, lips, eyes, or you could even use it as a facial mask. To use as a moisturizer wherever, apply a thin and even layer. For masking, apply a generous amount of gel over face and let it set for 15-20 minutes before rinsing away. Although very purple in the container, it spreads almost clear, and wont stain skin or clothes since it’s made with plant-derived colorants. It smells absolutely amazing, and although I never drink martinis, I would be tempted to try one if it’s anything like this product smells!

I have since tried using it in all the different ways I mentioned, and it has become a favorite of mine. The three ways I incorporate this into my routine begin with applying it as a moisturizer in the morning before my makeup. I noticed it was able to calm my oiliness and help mattify my problem t-zone area, all while leaving my skin feeling nourished. Second, I love using it on my lips. Up here in the brisk Michigan weather, my lips are constantly dried and cracked, but once applied I feel an instantaneous softening and I know its okay if I ingest a little since it’s made with natural ingredients. Lastly, using it as a facial mask, my skin feels clean, soft and amazing afterwards.

Overall, I love both of these natural skincare products. The prices are definitely a little high, but you absolutely get what you pay for in this case. It’s impressive that they’re made from fresh and simple ingredients that you could make at home if you were determined. Love to Beauty Kitchen and Heather Marianna for creating an amazing, healthy skincare line that I can turn to without hesitation because I know the ingredients are safe and reliable.
