New Almay One Coat Mega Volume Mascara

Hello Cuppy Cakes,

I will be reviewing the New Almay One Coat Mega Volume Mascara. I am honestly impressed with the results and the formula. I have to admit that I had a go-to mascara that had me convinced that there is no other ones out there for me, but after trying Almay’s megaphone wand, it’s a definite contender.

There are two unique features that I have grown to love over the past couple weeks, the first being the formula. Almay is known to have hypoallergenic and fragrance-free formulas, and for me it’s perfect since my eyes are super-sensitive to a lot of products. I found with continued use that my eyes didn’t get irritated or red, even after getting some into my eyes. If you are an allergy sufferer or contact wearer I would recommend Almay.

You do not need to reapply, and like it says, one coat is perfect for a day’s look. I haven’t had any issues with the mascara running other than if I shed a tear or two. This specific formula isn’t waterproof, but they do have that option if you are looking for it. As for sweating and working long days, the mascara has stayed on and wasn’t clumpy upon application. Although I say it isn't clumpy, there is a chance if you let it dry and apply more that your lashes will start to stick together.

The second unique feature (and a pretty obvious one) is the megaphone brush. It actually works wonders getting into those tiny areas. Unlike other applicators, I am able to maneuver the brush to get every hair without stabbing my eye or smearing the product. The diversity of application makes an impact, proving how effective this mascara really is. Overall my lashes look noticeably longer and fuller, and I am able to reach every angle of my lashes and give them the space that they need to shine!

I like to use my opposite hand to get the outer edges with the wand.

Mission Restaurant Style Thin & Crispy Tortilla Chips

Hello Cuppies,

There is nothing like sitting outdoors in your backyard with a cold fruity margarita and a bag of tasty tortilla chips and don't forget bring the guacamole.

Thanks to a sampling from Crowdtap I was able to give Mission Restaurant Style Thin & Crispy tortilla chips a try. They taste exactly like the chips that are at our favorite Mexican cuisine restaurants. They're perfectly crispy, crunchy, and pair well with any kind of meal from chips and salsa, guacamole, taco salad, or nachos. These are even great for snacking just on their own! I love the hint of sea salt to each chip, unlike other chips that can be overwhelmingly salty.

For all those who are gluten sensitive, these chips are gluten free and only contain 4 simple ingredients which are whole grain corn, water, vegetable oil (Cotton seed, corn and/or Sunflower) and salt.

Overall they are a tasty and healthier tortilla chip that has no preservatives or artificial colors or flavors. My household loved these and we will absolutely be purchasing again.

Haha!

YUM!

Thank you Crowdtap

La Petite Kurious Long Lasting Eyebrow Tattoo

Hello!

Getting more and more into Korean Beauty and all that it has to offer so today I am reviewing the Kurious La Petite Long Lasting Eyebrow Tattoo. I chose the shade Light Brown, which I thought was going to be the safest for me to try for my first time. Since I wasn’t sure how pigmented the formula would be I avoided the shade Dark Brown, but next time I will invest in that color.

There are some definite advantages and improvements to this product over others. First, the color payoff would be great if my brows were more of a lighter brown. I like to think of it as henna for your eyebrows. My eyebrows are naturally a little sparse so I am able to fill in the shape with just the pen or using the provided stencil to achieve a defined brow. I do find the pen to be a little bit too big, or “chunky,” to make finer lines. I also wish it delivered more consistency with every swipe.

Opposite the pen is a brow mascara in the same tint, meant to extend the wear of your brow tattoo. The mascara is a completely different product in my eyes and completely changes the hue of my eye brows to a lighter yellowy-brown. It’s really not easy to use, as opposed to the pen side which is subtler and simple like a marker. Even if this was the right color, I feel like this end of the product is totally useless because the consistency is way too clumpy to apply without making my eyebrows look like a mess.

Overall, I love using the pen tattoo as a base with my other brow products, but since the color is too light and yellow, I cannot use on its own. It is directed that you apply at night as to let the pigmentation adhere overnight (or at least 6 hours), after which I know it lasts at least for a day, and still comes off fairly easily with a makeup wipe.

So here's a quick run down...

Pros:
Lasts a long time
Pigmented
Appealing packaging
Fills brows in nicely

Cons:
Marker tip is bending
Uneven distribution of formula
Brow Mascara has too much product and is clumpy
The (Light Brown) color is a bit yellow and an awkward color
Can’t be used just on its own
