I was more than happy when I learned that I would be receiving a sample of Garnier Whole Blends Olive Mondose Hair Mask, since not long ago I was searching for it in my local Meijer. I hoped that since I have used other masks from the Whole Blend line they would have one in the Legendary Olive line as well. Fortunately, I was able to try it, and it was well worth the wait!
Hair masks are a must-have to keep my hair healthy and nourished. That's because I have very long, medium thickness, bleach blonde hair that is often unmanageable and dry. I absolutely love Garnier Whole Blends, so naturally I was excited to use the Legendary Olive mask. My expectations were already high since I use their Honey Treasures mask frequently and swear by it. I love when I can find a inexpensive and highly effective product, too.
The formula is very rich and creamy, efficiently spreading on your hair like butter, coating every inch. Even with hair beyond my shoulders, I only needed a quarter size drop to work it through completely. While doing so, I also couldn't help but notice that this mask has an amazing natural olive scent. There was a noticeable difference after the recommended three-minute wait, since I could easily run my fingers through my hair while the product was setting. I prefer to rinse my hair with cool water to lock-in the nutrients and go about toweling drying my hair afterwards.
For those who are sensitive to scents, I wouldn’t say this one is overpowering, and its very faint on the hair once completely dried. I also had no issues with the product leaving my scalp oily or greasy feeling. When all was said and done, my hair was noticeable smoother, softer, with no frustrating tangles and looked vibrant. As of right now, this is a case where great things come in small packages, but hopefully they will make a full size mask available (10.1 fluid ounce) so I can enjoy the benefits more frequently!
