New Rachael Ray Nutrish Peak Wet Dog Food

Being that this is the year of the dog, and I love spoiling my puppers, I quickly jumped on board when Influenster offered to send me a Nutrish Voxbox. Inside the large box were three flavors from the new Nutrish Peak line of dog food. I know they also sent out dry samples of their dog food, but I received the wet food. I say samples, but these are in full-sized cups that you can purchase online and or use Nutrish store locator to find it nearest to you.

My dogs will eat pretty much anything and everything that’s presented to them. So as a Pup Mother, I have to make a conscious effort to give them the best. We used to feed them whatever, but found that my larger dog has allergies, so we nipped that in the bud really quick. I have tried other wet dog foods before, but this is my first experience with Rachael Ray's Nutrish wet dog food. Of course as soon as I brought in the box from my front porch, both of my pups knew it was for them thanks to their amazing sense of smell, and me of course excitedly saying "your goodies are here!"

The first flavor I decided to give was the Wetlands Recipe and all I heard while cracking open the container was constant barking! This recipe contains chicken and duck in a gravy. Both of my dogs were going crazy and wanted it for themselves. Unfortunately for them, I had split the container up so they both could have a try. Over the past couple of days I opened and shared the other two flavors, Open Range Recipe with chicken and beef and Wild Ridge Recipe with Chicken and lamb both with gravy.

My dogs were just as wowed by the taste as I was about the appearance of the ingredients. No paste here, just big juicy pieces of meat in gravy, which smelled more appealing than any other wet dog food I have used. The feeding instructions are based solely on how active or not your dog’s lifestyle is. So accordingly, I would not feed either of my dogs the high recommend amount, but use smaller portions instead because of the high calories and the moderately active lifestyles my dogs have. I would recommend that everyone keep that in mind, because it’s very easy for your dogs to become overweight and unhealthy just by over-feeding them.

Overall, I love the that it's grain-free, natural, identifiable food and made right here in the USA. Although I am not making the switch just yet, I will keep this brand in mind when my little one ages to the point she needs to have wet dog food.
