clariSEA Pore Clearing + Brightening Peel Off Mask

I am excited to share my thoughts on the clariSEA Pore Clearing + Brightening Peel Off Mask, a detoxifying and softening rosewater infused mask. I have oily and acne-riddled skin, so a good peel-off mask usually makes my skin feel refreshed and clean. It’s made with activated bamboo charcoal powder, which helps trap and remove toxins, debris, oils on the face, for a good deep clean.

I always prep my skin before with cleansing and toning, as directed you can apply to just your t-zone or have an all-over face masking experience. I went with the latter since my oil and pore problems don’t just stop at my t-zone.

There is a faint alcohol-like scent out of the tube, but comes from the Organic Grape Alcohol ingredient, which differs from the typical synthetic or non-organic alcohols we’re used to seeing in products. It quickly dissipates and becomes unnoticeable once the mask is placed on the skin. It was a bit messy and slightly tacky to apply as I just went for it with my fingers, but it was good kind of mess that took seconds to wash off. Next time I’d definitely use a brush instead. I used a combination of circular motions and patting the formula on until I felt I had good thick coverage.

I instantly felt a slight cooling and tightening as the mask dried. It’s recommended to allow between 20-30 minutes for the mask to do its magic. I waited a bit beyond the full 30 minutes as I was multitasking. I noticed it start to flake and peel itself off the skin right at end, which made it easier to find starting points to remove. It didn’t take much to peel the mask off nor was it irritating or pulling on my skin, in fact it was almost effortless. For the most part it came off in big pieces, but the remaining little bits of mask I easily swiped away with a wash cloth and followed it up with a rinse and moisturizer.

There were incredible and highly noticeable results in the appearance and feel of my skin after removing, even prior to moisturizing. My skin feels refreshed, clean and smooth! Hands down, clariSEA has an amazing, natural, reasonably priced mask that leaves your skin feeling radiant, clarified and detoxified!

Huangjisoo Pure Daily Foaming Cleanser Deep Clean

Dr. Huang Ji Soo developed a line of skincare products after being inspired by her mother’s struggle with dermatitis and psoriasis. Her passion is to provide a trustworthy alternative to medicine that can be used by everyone, with or without skin conditions. I was given the opportunity to review Huangjisoo Pure Daily Foaming Cleanser, which is a Deep Clean face wash made with peppermint.

The unique feature of Huangjisoo is that it contains 98% natural ingredients that are extracted from nature and is therefore gentle on one’s skin. It contains a neutral PH so as to not destroy our skin’s natural barrier while still cleansing. This cleanser is also hypoallergenic-approved after extensive testing, leaving a formula that is great for ultra-sensitive skin. It’s also rated EWG Green Grade (1-2), meaning the ingredients are harmless to skin, made cruelty free and pregnancy safe.

Some standout ingredients include peppermint extract with its natural analgesic and antiseptic properties, which relieves, soothes, and boosts nutrients like Vitamins A and C. Wild mint extract opens and awakens the skin to a deep cleaning and leaves a soothing cooling sensation on the skin. Persimmon leaf extract clarifies skin, alleviates symptoms of dermatitis, and softens skin as well.

The bottle stands out for its unique bubbly shape, adorned with purple flowers and a nicely sized foaming dispenser. The Deep Clean product is formulated to address such problems as oily skin and enlarged pores. The foam gently but effectively removes excess oils and makeup, while also deep cleaning pores to reduce their appearance and increase the skin’s elasticity. Even over the age of thirty, I still have problematic, oily skin and acne issues, and that’s why I was thrilled to try this out.

I implemented this into my routine after I removed the majority of my makeup with a makeup wipe. However, you can even use this cleanser solely for removing makeup if you so choose. Easily enough, I dampened my skin beforehand and used just a single pump and gently massaged it in a circular motion over my face. I like to finish by rinsing with cool water to tighten the pores, too.

I absolutely love the fun, foamy experience of the micro cloud bubbles that left my skin feeling rejuvenated. I find that it also feels slightly tingly (from the mint) after application, but ultimately smooth and clean. There is a soft, sweet lilac scent, but nothing overwhelming if you are sensitive. Huangjisoo Pure Daily Foaming Cleanser is an amazing daily foaming cleanser that produces noticeable results just after one use. Honestly, my skin feels amazing enough that I cannot wait to try out her other cleansers.

Feelxo 5-Day “All in One” Skincare program face sheets are a great way to combat aging skin, dryness, and enhance the look and appearance of your skin. Feelxo believes in offering natural and safe ingredients in every mask that help nourish and pamper your delicate skin. All of their masks are made from floral extractions and free of parabens, sulfates, phthalates, and alcohol.

I was beyond excited to receive a full box of face masks, plus the Feelxo Charcoal Nose Mask from 0.8Liter. The packaging is lux and beautifully designed. I especially love the holographic trim and white marble flower print. The packaging of the individual masks themselves are also large and have a nice texture. This makes having a spa day for myself feel more like I am treating myself to a truly premium experience.

Inside the 5-Day set are 4 entire face masks, including a Hydra Rose Mask, Firming Camellia Mask, Glowing Marigold Mask, Pore Care Lotus Mask, and lastly a small Charcoal Nose Mask. Every mask has a detailed description of what it is, the ingredients, and how to use it. All masks excluding the nose mask recommend leaving them in the fridge for a cooling sensation. This is something I have never heard before, but absolutely love doing now that I have tried it. Although it says to use these for five consecutive days, I believe you can still use them effectively whenever and however you choose.

The Hydra Rose Mask: Floral skincare recipe includes rose, olive oil, as well as avocado for hydration and soothing. One tip is to always clean and tone your skin before use. This mask has two protective films, remove the first and place the mask on the face carefully. Then, once placed, remove the outer film to begin the process. The Hydra mask stays on the longest compared to the others, with a time span of 25-30 minutes. I used this after a long day at work and took a nap while I laid back and let it do its magic. The cooling sensation was amazing since I had left it in the fridge before use. The smell is captivating and soothing, while not overwhelming for those who are sensitive to scents. As a result, my face felt soft and supple immediately afterwards and for the remainder of the night. I have never been to a spa, but I could imagine this it what it feels like.
Hydra Benefits:
• Coconut gel plus Bio Cellulose: a natural fiber that allows the mask adhere comfortably to face, creating a barrier to boost hydration and block evaporation of essential nutrients in the mask
• Rose: Antioxidant that penetrates deep into skin and locks in moisture
• Olive Oil: Vitamin E and polyphenols for intense hydration
• Avocado: Monounsaturated fatty acid helps to smooth, soften and hydrate skin

Next, the Firming Camellia Mask: Floral skincare recipe includes camellia, yogurt, blackberry for firming and rejuvenating. This is a microfiber sheet with cream that pulls and tightens facial skin for youthful appearance. Again, be sure to always clean and tone your face before use. I kept my mask in the fridge for a cooling sensation and I highly recommend it. I found it easy to apply as it has no films, just unfold and carefully adjust to your face. This mask has a standard 15-20 minute duration to get the full effect. The mask smells delicious and has a creamy dewy texture after removing, and like instructed I massaged the excess into my skin. I don’t think it made a difference that I used this a few days after my last Feelxo mask, since my face felt firm and I loved applying my makeup the following day.

Firming Benefits:

The Glowing Marigold Mask: Floral skincare recipe includes marigold, honey, and celery for glowing and rejuvenating. This mask is made from a microfiber sheet with serum to strongly adhere to skin and provides great absorption. Like all others, first clean and tone face before carefully applying the mask. I carved out time on a weekend to try this mask on a Saturday morning, allowing it to remain for the full 20 minutes while caught up on some reading. I was a bit curious about the results of this mask since I already have oily skin that illuminates when I don’t want it too, however I was pleasantly surprised at how refreshed it made my face feel. This one has the most unique ingredients compared to the others, since I never knew the benefits of celery. Just like the firming mask, this made my face feel slightly tighter.
Glowing Benefits:

The Pore Care Lotus Mask: Floral skincare recipe includes lotus, egg white, and lemon for cleansing and pore care. The mask is a Black Charcoal Sheet that helps remove dead skin cells and manage problem pores. I first prep my skin by cleaning and using a toner, then I carefully adjust the mask to my face. The next step is easy, just relax! I spent the full 20 minutes like I do with all masks to really soak up the richness. I’ve always had issues with acne and pores, so this was the mask I was most excited for out of the entire collection. It was definitely a first for me seeing an entire black face mask, but I loved how refreshed my face felt after peeling off. The pores on my face looked less pronounced and my skin felt clean. 
Pore Care Benefits:
• Black Charcoal Sheet: Lined with charcoal fibers that help remove dead skin, dirt and debris that clog pores
• Lotus: therapeutic aromas to help rejuvenate skin and cleansing properties
• Egg White: Lift and tighten skin, astringent properties to tighten pores

Finally, the Charcoal Nose Mask: is a small blackhead and whitehead removing mask targeted for your nose area. The ingredients contained in it are charcoal, aloe vera, and witch hazel to help purify pores. Unlike the other masks, there is no recommendation to cool in fridge before use (not that it would be harmful), but I did not cool mine before trying this time. I feel the mask is large enough to cover all sorts of noses and worked great for mine. Directions are simple enough. Be sure to clean the face like usual and keep your nose wetted before applying the mask. Then, remove the film with dry hands and place over now-wetted nose to help activate mask. After 15 minutes (maximum time), I peeled slowly from the edge of my nostril and was able to see the impurities get pulled from the skin in real-time.
Charcoal Benefits:
• Charcoal: Helps pull dirt, debris and impurities out of pores
• Aloe Vera: Calms skin and replenishes skin with hydration
• Witch Hazel: helps fight acne by decreasing oils and redness

Overall, I absolutely loved trying the entire collection of Feelxo 5-Day masks. All of the masks include unique ingredients that help target problem areas of the skin. I may have not used them on consecutive days, but I feel they were still very successful at calming, soothing, minimizing pores, and cleaning my skin. What’s also great is that you have the choice to purchase them all as a set at a discount, or purchase them separately if you like.
